Transmission route – LonTalk communicates in a wide variety of ways: BUS cable (twisted pair), glass fiber, COAX, powerline, as well as radio and infrared. The most used is the interference-free BUS cable. Powerline (230V supply) is of particular interest, since great speeds and ranges are now being achieved, especially in commercial and municipal applications.
